The Foundation 2 – Euroz

Today we get to hear Euroz’s highly anticipated mixtape, The Foundation 2. If you couldn’t tell by the title, it is the follow up to The Foundation, which dropped last October. There is no doubt that Euroz has bars, but I have seen some questions about his versatility. He should silence those critics with the diversity he shows on tracks like King of Sorrow and Work. His typical lyricism is on display, and the instrumentals are solid, with many of the tracks having been produced by Alex Lustig. It is also very impressive that Euroz was able to craft an entire 20-song project without a single feature. Overall, this is one of the best mixtapes we have seen this year to date, and I highly recommend that everyone check it out below.

Truly Yours 2 – J. Cole

As he promised last night on Twitter, Cole just let go of Truly Yours 2. I haven’t had a chance to listen to any of it yet (except for Cole Summer, which dropped earlier today and is sick), but I’m sure it is awesome. The mini-project is a group of 6 songs that did not make it onto Born Sinner, some due to quality and others due to not matching the album conceptually. Cole handled a lot of the production himself, but also got help from Canei Finch and Jake One. There is one feature from Bas, and artist signed to Cole’s Dreamville label. I can’t wait to hear these six tracks, and I’m sure that once I do I will be looking forward to June 25th even more in anticipation of Born Sinner.

P.S. I love the cover art for these Truly Yours tapes. I’m not even being sarcastic; I actually think it’s really original.
